The club is again assisting in marshalling this event and will be attending six stations at Coolangatta, Rainbow Bay, Snapper Rocks, Point Danger and Duranbah plus a first aid station at Duranbah. All members are asked to assist in this event as it is important that we assist in the development of our sport. It is estimated that volunteers will need to be on-station from 07:30 to 09:30 NSW daylight saving time. Can all club volunteers please advise Terry Cokeley of your availability.

CLUB CHRISTMANS PARTY LUNCH - 18th DECEMBER

Our annual Christmas lunch will again be kindly hosted by Patsie and Phil at Seascape in Bay Street, Tweed Heads. Please keep an eye out on the club notice board for details. Time comes around quickly and it only seems a few weeks ago that we were all watching the rain pelt down at last year's event. Hopefully the weather will be kinder this year!

GOLD COAST MARATHON

The club provided seven competitors this year which was down on previous years due to a number of our serious competitors suffering training injuries. Bobby Beer (4:31:11)) and Sophie Kallend (3:42:18) both posted solid times in the Marathon event while our Half Marathon and 10K runners also ran good personal times. Everybody is looking forward to next year and hopefully come 2012 everybody will be injury free.
